Role Overview
As our Social Media Expert, you will be the digital voice of our literary community. You will develop and execute creative social media campaigns that drive engagement, build brand awareness, and attract new members. You will also be responsible for fostering meaningful interactions, promoting literary discussions, and leveraging data-driven strategies to grow our online presence.
This role requires a blend of creativity, storytelling, and analytical skills to ensure our platform is positioned as a leading space for writers and literary professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Management
Develop and execute a compelling social media strategy tailored to writers, authors, and literary professionals.
Create and schedule engaging content, including posts, videos, graphics, and stories for platforms like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
Plan and manage monthly content calendars to ensure consistent and strategic posting.
Leverage trends in the literary and publishing world to create relevant, shareable content.
Community Engagement & Growth
Foster a thriving online community by responding to comments, messages, and discussions in a timely and engaging manner.
Organize and promote interactive events such as book discussions, Q&A sessions with authors, live readings, and writing challenges.
Develop initiatives that encourage user-generated content and member participation.
Collaborate with influencers, literary bloggers, and writing communities to expand our reach.
Brand Awareness & Digital Marketing
Develop and implement brand-building campaigns that highlight our platform’s value and services.
Manage paid advertising campaigns to increase membership and drive engagement.
Optimize content for search engines (SEO) and social media algorithms to maximize visibility.
Use storytelling techniques to make our platform’s mission compelling and relatable.
Analytics & Performance Tracking
Monitor social media insights and engagement metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
Identify growth opportunities by analyzing audience behaviour, preferences, and trends.
Provide monthly reports with key insights and recommendations for strategy improvement.
Collaborations & Partnerships
Identify and build partnerships with authors, publishers, literary influencers, and writing organizations.
Coordinate giveaways, author takeovers, and collaborative campaigns to boost engagement.
Engage in cross-promotion with relevant literary and publishing platforms.
Requirements
Skills & Experience
Proven experience managing social media for brands, communities, or literary platforms.
Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies, social media trends, and platform algorithms.
Excellent writing, storytelling, and communication skills tailored for social media audiences.
Proficiency in graphic design tools like Canva, Photoshop, or similar platforms.
Experience with video content creation (e.g., Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
Ability to analyze data and adjust strategies for improved engagement and growth.
Passion for books, writing, and the literary world.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in publishing, writing, marketing, or digital communications.
Experience working with literary brands, book clubs, or writing communities.
Familiarity with influencer marketing and collaborations in the book industry.
Knowledge of SEO and content optimization for social media.
